The Slovak state will give hundreds of millions of euros to hospitals to settle their debts, as parliament passed a proposal to this effect at its session on Thursday. Hospitals are set to get up to 585 million euros from state assets for settling their debts incurred up to the end of last year. Health Minister Tomas Drucker said that it is essential to financially stabilise the health care sector. If it did not take place, the health care provision as well as the state's assets would be in danger, added Drucker.
