Slovak parliament rejects proposal to attach warning to terrifying toys

May 21st, 2013

Dolls of a terrifying nature or involving morbid motifs will not be equipped with a warning that they are inappropriate for children below the age of 12, as parliament on Tuesday rejected a related proposal submitted by opposition Ordinary People (OLaNO) MP Stefan Kuffa. According to Kuffa, such dolls may present a risk to the mental health of children. He said that dolls depicting vampires or zombies contain elements of violence "linked to demons, ghosts, spectres and darkness in general," said Kuffa.
