Slovak motorway contributes to lower unemployment, tourism growth

The construction of motorways and expressways has contributed to the fall of unemployment in Slovak regions, the latest case study by the Finance Ministry's Financial Policy Institute (IFP) shows. The study showed that the number of unemployed declined by about 5,000 people after the R1 expressway was opened. The launch of the R1 has also made tourism more attractive in this area.
