The Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry is rejecting repeated attempts made by Russian media to "falsify historical events" related to the Warsaw Pact troops' invasion of former Czechoslovakia in 1968, Pravda daily reported on Thursday. The ministry reacted to a story published by the Russian Defence Ministry's TV channel Zvezda TV on its website "explaining" the occupation in 1968. According to its interpretation, Czechs and Slovaks should be thankful, as the troops brought peace to Czechoslovakia by suppressing the Prague Spring.
