Slovak graduates are lacking skills relevant for the labour market, Labour Minister Jan Richter told a conference on Thursday. The ministry's draft Vocational Education Act will change that situation, he said and argued that the proposal is aimed at enabling schools to take into account changes in market demand. Richter added that it is necessary to change the attitude of regional authorities; "they will have to closely monitor the labour market, forecasts and choose individual fields of study accordingly."
