The key topic of the meeting between Justice Minister Gabor Gal (Most-Hid) and his Israeli counterpart Ayelet Shaked was the electronic system of personal monitoring (ESMO), with Israel being one of the countries that effectively uses electronic monitoring, Justice Ministry spokesperson Zuzana Drobova said on Friday. In Israel 63 mediators currently monitor 588 people. New Zealand, which uses the same bracelets as Slovakia, monitors 5,000 people. "We think that the use of electronic bracelets is an effective tool to educate perpetrators and increase the rate of their successful reintegration into society," Drobova said.
