A dialogue on concrete measures aimed at increasing the number of Slovak medical students at medical faculties will continue, but it has been constructive so far and has a common goal -- to improve the Slovak health-care sector gradually, Health Ministry spokeswoman Zuzana Eliasova told TASR on Friday. Eliasova confirmed that Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini, who has been charged with managing the Health Ministry, met top doctors and health experts this week to discuss current issues in the health-care sector and ways of improving the situation. She said that Pellegrini realises that a lack of doctors is a long-term problem not only in Slovakia, but also abroad, so systematic changes are needed.
