Slovak govt to purchase military armoured vehicles

The government on Wednesday approved a proposal for providing 8x8 and 4x4 military armoured vehicles for the Slovak army, TASR learnt. The defence ministry is planning to first develop prototypes of 8x8 and 4x4 military armoured vehicles for 9 million euros in total. After that, Slovakia should obtain 81 pieces of 8x8 armoured vehicles and 404 pieces of 4x4 armoured vehicles for 1.2 billion euros in total.
