Slovakia's defence ministry respects the decision of the Public Procurements Office (UVO) to halt the procedure used to procure 4x4 military vehicles, but has appealed against it, ministry spokeswoman Danka Capakova told TASR on Tuesday. "The defence ministry respects the decision of the Public Procurements Office but disagrees with it and has therefore filed an appeal within the statutory period," said the spokeswoman, noting that the ministry has included its reasons for disagreeing with the ruling in the appeal. UVO spokesperson Janka Zvoncekova told TASR of the ruling on Tuesday, noting that an appeal had been filed. Therefore, a collective body -- UVO's Council -- will decide on the matter.
