Slovak crown banknotes worth EUR 71.7 m still held by public in late 2018

People still haven't get rid of all their Slovak crowns, with banknotes worth 2.16 billion Slovak crowns (approximately 71.7 million euros) still being held by the public at the end of 2018, according to data published in the central bank's (NBS) professional journal Biatec. People can exchange Slovak banknotes and commemorative coins at NBS without any time limit. The deadline for exchanging coins was January 2, 2014.
