The Sejm (lower parliament house) will start a three-day sitting on Wednesday to hear government reports on a housing loan programme for young people and on planned mass-scale layoffs announced by firms. The latter report is scheduled to be presented on Friday. The MPs will also debate amendments to the tax law, labour code and civil code. On Thursday the house will examine a draft resolution on declaring June 4 the Day of Freedom and Human Rights meant to commemorate Poland's first free, democratic elections held on June 4, 1989.
