The opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party said on Friday that the only reason why a tourism ministry would be established is that head of the Slovak National Party (SNS) Andrej Danko thinks so, adding that it was "a clearly irrational reason". SaS was reacting to Danko's announcement on Thursday, when he said that setting up a separate sport and tourism ministry is a must. "Slovakia has no need for further ministries, but it does have a need for qualified ministries and government in order to properly run existing authorities. Tourism is a part of the economy, just as the car industry, steel industry and food production are," SaS MP Miroslav Ivan said.
