The opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party on Monday called on Health Minister Andrea Kalavska to cease all investments that are in contradiction with her hospital stratification reform. Even though the party supports the project, it is of the opinion that it should be left for the next government. SaS MP Jana Ciganikova said that Slovakia had the second densest network of hospitals in the EU after Germany, but it provided below-average resources per patient and the resources were being spent inefficiently. "The only true solution is a reform of hospitals," Ciganikova said.
