Beata Mazurek, the spokeswoman for Poland's ruling Law and Justice party, said that in its parliamentary work on judicial reform bills, the party had incorporated all the suggestions made by President Andrzej Duda. The head of state's bills to reform the Supreme Court (SN) and the National Judicial Council (KRS) are currently under deliberation in the Sejm (lower house). The former draft law is being scrutinised by the Justice and Human Rights Committee, which has already adopted several amendments filed by Law and Justice. Speaking to reporters in the Sejm, Mazurek was asked to appraise the committee's work so far. "It has been excellent", she replied, adding, "The president has made a clear statement today urging us to wait until not only the committee, but also the whole parliament, complete their work and then to wait for the head of state's decision".
