Ruling parties to submit draft resolution condemning Sargentini report to parlt

September 14th, 2018

Hungary's ruling parties will next week submit a draft resolution to parliament declaring the Sargentini report a "deceitful" document which the European Parliament "had to cheat to approve" and that Hungary will not allow itself to be stripped of its right to protect its borders, Fidesz's group leader said on Friday. Meanwhile, leftist opposition Democratic Coalition said in the debate, Prime Minister Viktor Orban sounded unusually "defeated" and "weak", as a political leader aware of the fact that he has no more chance to change the outcome of a vote.
