Roma pupils still segregated, says AI

Certain improvements have occurred regarding the segregation of Roma pupils at the primary school on Francisci Street in Levoca, but this still isn't enough, Amnesty International Slovakia (AIS) spokesperson Jana Vargovcikova said on Wednesday. "[Bringing the case before a] court is one of the options ... if the situation isn't resolved or further deteriorates," said Vargovcikova. She said that the primary school had moved several [non-Roma] children to ethnically-mixed classrooms.
