Retired Czech footballer Tomas Repka, who played in the national team in 1994-2001, was sentenced to 15 months in prison for embezzlement and harming the rights of another person today. The verdict has not taken effect as both Repka's defence counsel and the state attorney appealed it. The sentence includes the previous punishment for Repka's Internet attacks on his former wife, qualified as harming the rights of another. Repka's defence counsel demanded that his client be acquitted.
