A commission composed of representatives of public administration is carrying out repeated hearings of candidates for the post of head of the Office for Protecting Whistleblowers. The first such hearings took place earlier this year, when 11 candidates were examined and the final two were selected for parliament to choose between. However, the House failed to choose, meaning that the whole process has to be repeated. Eleven hopefuls applied this time, but only nine met the necessary requirements. Only one new candidate is appearing this time; the rest took part in the first hearings.
