Remisova: Gal in conflict of interest; Gal rejects claims

Justice Minister Gabor Gal (Most-Hid) is involved in a massive conflict of interest in terms of the country's interests and his own post, said Opposition OLaNO party caucus leader Veronika Remisova on Wednesday, adding that that's why he's been blocking anti-corruption laws. Remisova was reacting to a piece of information published by the media that Gal served as a lawyer for people suspected of major tax fraud, with the OLaNO MP claiming that this might be why Gal wants to keep judicial decisions secret. Gal stated that as a lawyer he's defended many people. "If I represented murderers, then I represented murderers. That is a barrister's job...," he said.
