Record-low unemployment in Poland has reduced emigration to such traditional destinations as the United Kingdom and Germany, according to a report published by the central bank (NBP) on Thursday. At the same time, new niche destinations of Polish emigration such as Norway have emerged, NBP said in a publication presenting selected results of the latest round of polls from Polish migrants in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Norway. "Net salary is still the major motivating factor for emigration and residence abroad, with median salaries abroad being nominally around twice as high as in Poland, and dominant (or most frequent) salaries being up to 3.6 times higher than in Poland," the report said.
