Vice-premier and Smer-SD vice-chairman Richard Rasi told journalists on Tuesday that Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak (a Smer-SD nominee) is still his and other senior party officials' favoured choice to become Smer-SD's presidential candidate. Rasi continues to claim that his name hasn't appeared in any Smer-SD debates on the presidential candidate. The party still has not presented its candidate for the presidential post. "Nothing new has happened in this regard. It's still true that there haven't been any discussions in which my name was mentioned. My favourite, and not only mine but of all of us, is Miroslav Lajcak," said Rasi.
