Rasi: Health minister nomination to be discussed after PM's return

The nomination for the post of health minister will be discussed by the party leadership after the return of Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini, Smer-SD vice-chair and vice-premier Richard Rasi told TASR on Wednesday. Rasi and Smer-SD vice-chair and Economy Minister Peter Ziga agreed that Health Minister Andrea Kalavska, who announced this week that she was stepping down, had not succeeded with her reform due to a lack of political support and communication. "The nomination for health minister is a political nomination," Rasi said, adding that there were several alternatives. "There may be a new minister, or someone may be charged with doing the job," he said before Wednesday's cabinet meeting.
