Special Prosecutor's Office (USP) prosecutor Tomas Honz, reacting to the guilty verdict handed to People's Party Our Slovakia (LSNS) leader Marian Kotleba, who was sentenced to four years and for months in prison for distributing cheques infused with neo-Nazi symbolism to three poor families, stated that Kotleba deserves such a mandatory sentence. The verdict serves a message to all democratically minded people in Slovakia that the courts and prosecution service will defend people who have become victims of extremism, violence, racial hatred, fascism and neo-Nazism, Honz said.
