October 4th, 2019

President Zuzana Caputova has signed into law an amendment that increases parental allowance for parents that worked before their child was born to 370 euros per month. Other parents who worked only briefly or temporarily and don't take maternity allowance should enjoy a rise to ?270. The proposal was submitted by the senior governing Smer-SD party. The increase should be 150 euros for a working parent and 50 euros for a non-working parent.
