President marks 30th anniversary of talks that ended communism
April 4th, 2019
President Andrzej Duda participated in the international conference 'On the Downfall of Communism. 1989 in Central and Eastern Europe' on Thursday in Warsaw, organised on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Polish Round Table talks. The conference, organised on April 4-5, is attended by historians, sociologists and political scientists from several countries. The president, opening the conference, said that a part of the public recently took offence when he said that the Round Table Talks were necessary.
