President Andrzej Duda was voted the Polish politician of the year 2017 in a survey by pollster CBOS. Duda won the poll gaining 13 percent of the vote, CBOS said 50 percent of respondents did not want to name a single public figure who would in their opinion merit the title of Polish politician of the year. A further twenty-seven percent of those polled expressed their disinterest in politics. CBOS added that 11 percent of Poles granted the title to former Polish PM Beata Szydlo and five percent to leader of the ruling Law and Justice party Jaroslaw Kaczynski.
