Prague will close the pact of free cities with Budapest, Bratislava and Warsaw to strengthen cooperation of all capitals of the Visegrad Four (V4) countries, on the basis of the document that the Prague Council approved on Monday. Representatives of the capitals of the V4 countries, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland, will sign it on December 16. The mayors of the V4 countries' capitals agreed on the pact at their meeting marking the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The Prague Assembly has yet to pass it. "The cities are the engine driving the growth and innovations in the regions and they face many identical challenges and tasks," writes the document that the mayors will sign in Budapest next week.
