The Czech Republic has officially nominated Chamber of Commerce President Vladimir Dlouhy for the post of secretary-general of the Organisation for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Dlouhy along with the Foreign Ministry told reporters on Thursday. The OECD will be deciding on its new head in the first quarter of 2021. Czech diplomats are now intensively negotiating about support for him, Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek said, adding that Czech diplomacy would do its utmost to win the support.
