Polish PM Beata Szydlo has termed NATO's enhanced presence in Poland and a positive turn in relations with the US "the most important achievements of her government in the field of security". The prime minister made the statement during the 5th Foreign Policy Forum at the Royal Castle in Warsaw on Thursday. Referring to last year's NATO summit, which approved the alliance's military presence in Poland, she expressed her conviction that it was "a breakthrough event in the field of security". "The dream of many generations of the Polish people have come true -- for the first time in modern history, our security is based not only on treaty safeguards but also on the actual strength of our armed forces, on our allies and our cooperation with them", she said.
