Porsche mulling new plant in Slovakia

German carmaker Porsche has bought a 20-hectare plot near Horna Streda (Trencin region), alongside the D1 motorway, SME daily reported, assuming that a major project could be built near the town of Piestany. The carmaker might manufacture various components for electric cars there. Porsche has reportedly contacted the Piestany airport and expressed interest in using its capacity for air transport. The new plant might also bring new jobs; however, their number is not known at the moment.
