Pope Francis tweeted, on the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi German death camp Auschwitz, that it was a moment to stop and reflect. "If we lose our memory, we destroy our future. May the anniversary of the Holocaust, the unspeakable cruelty that humanity learned of 75 years ago, serve as a summons to pause, to be still and to remember. We need to do this, lest we become indifferent," the Twitter message read. The post was published on the official Twitter account of the Pope, in several languages, including Polish.
