Poll: Smer still first, SaS second, LSNS third

August 10th, 2018

Had a general election been held at the beginning of August, coalition party Smer-SD would have placed first with 20.7 percent of votes, according to Focus agency's new public opinion survey. The win would have secured them 37 parliamentary seats. The strongest Opposition party Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) would have placed second with 12.2 percent of votes, gaining 22 seats. A total of 10.1 percent would have cast their vote in favour of People's Party Our Slovakia (LSNS), securing the far-right party 18 mandates.
