Polish railway unions announce strike ballot

Unionists from the Polish Railways' track-administrating company PKP PLK Tuesday announced a strike ballot on May 30. The unionists are threatening with a general strike over wage hikes for the PKP PLK crew. In a statement sent to PAP the unionists informed that the ballot question will read, "do you support undertaking all steps, including a general strike, in order to achieve a basic wage rise?" They added that a two-hour warning strike could take place on June 4 if there was no progress in wage talks with the company management.
