Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on the centenary of the birth of St. John Paul II on Monday that the late Polish-born pope had changed the history of the world. He also said that communism had collapsed owing to the Polish-born pope and the Solidarity trade union. On Monday, the PM, German Ambassador to Poland Rolf Nikel and Polish Archbishop Kazimierz Nycz attended a ceremony during which a piece of the Berlin Wall was handed over to the Museum of John Paul II and Polish Primate Stefan Wyszynski.
