Polish PM says anti-defamation law not directed against Polish-Ukrainian relations

February 20th, 2018

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko over the phone on Tuesday that the recently-passed anti-defamation law is directed against lies, not against Polish-Ukrainian relations. In the course of the talk, Morawiecki also protested against unwarranted attempts by Ukrainian authorities to ban searches, exhumations and the dignified burial of Polish victims of conflicts and repression, the Polish PM's Office said in a press release.
