"There cannot be a situation whereby during a debate in the European Parliament one of the nations of the European family is defamed and offended", Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo said on Friday at the EU Social Summit in Gothenburg, Sweden. She said all 60,000 people who took part in the Warsaw red-and-white manifestation cannot be called "fascists" by anyone, making reference to remarks by liberal leader Guy La Verhofstadt during the debate.
