Polish parliament to debate Sunday shopping ban

On Wednesday, the Sejm (lower house) is scheduled to debate a law imposing restrictions on retail trade conducted on Sundays, deputy Sejm Speaker Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska told PAP. Two opposition parties - Civic Platform and Nowoczesna - want the bill to be removed from the agenda. A Sejm Labour Market Committee has modified a citizens' bill which originally called for a full ban on Sunday trade.
