Poland's main opposition grouping, Civic Platform - Civic Coalition (PO-KO) submitted an application for the dismissal of Environment Minister Henryk Kowalczyk, and claims he is responsible for Poland possibly losing billions of euros in EU anti-smog funding. The leader of the PO-KO caucus, Slawomir Neumann, said on Wednesday that Kowalczyk was responsible for neglecting his duties regarding the clean air programmes funded by the European Union. As PO-KO says, Poland stands to lose billions from the EU in its fight against smog.
