Polish military parade on August 15 cancelled

A military parade on August 15, the Polish Army Day, which this year coincides with the centenary of the 1920 Battle of Warsaw, in which Poland halted a Europe-advancing Red Army, has been cancelled for epidemic safety reasons, the Defence Ministry announced on Tuesday evening. The ministry said other events planned in connection with the Battle of Warsaw centenary will take place as scheduled. It added that the parade will take place at a later date, when safety levels are higher.
