Polish lawmakers vote to restrict Sunday shopping

On Friday, Poland's Sejm (lower house) passed a bill which puts restrictions on Sunday shopping. Under the bill, effective from March 1, 2018, shopping will only be allowed on the first and last Sunday of the month, before being restricted to the last Sunday of the month throughout 2019. Subsequently, from January 1, 2020, Sunday shopping will be banned altogether, with certain exceptions.
