Ceremonies marking the Day of Polish-Hungarian Friendship, scheduled to take place in Budapest on March 23, were cancelled due to the coronavirus threat, head of the President's Office Krzysztof Szczerski said on Thursday. This year's celebrations were to be attended by the Polish President Andrzej Duda and his Hungarian Counterpart Janos Ader. The Day of Polish-Hungarian Friendship, declared by the parliaments of both countries, has been observed, alternately in Poland and Hungary, since 2007. Last year's observance was held in the south-central Polish city of Kielce.
