Polish farm ministry to change vet law

The Ministry of Agriculture is finishing work on amendments to the veterinary law, intended to prevent events which undermine trust in Polish foods, Agriculture Minister Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski announced on Wednesday. The ministry also announced that a meeting will be held with the EU commissioner for agriculture to present the implementation of recommendations formulated by EU inspectors after their checks, which were carried out "following illegal slaughter in one of the slaughterhouses."
