Polish defence minister in US: 'We are on path to success'

Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak said after talks in Washington that "Poland is on a good path to succeed in its efforts to have a permanent US base." Błaszczak said he based his view "on the good atmosphere of his talks in the Pentagon", where he met US Defence Secretary James Mattis, and in the US Senate. This was Błaszczak's second working meeting with Mattis concerning the initiative to locate a permanent base of US troops in Poland, and was a follow-up to a special Polish-American team working on the matter.
