April 18th, 2019

KRAKsat, a satellite built by students in Kraków (southern Poland) and Światowid, Poland's first commercial satellite, have been launched into outer space on Wednesday (Polish time) from a NASA-owned centre on Wallops Island, Virginia, USA. The satellites were placed inside the Cygnus spacecraft, which was launched into orbit aboard an Antares 230 rocket, at 10:46 pm Polish time, on Wednesday from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at Wallops Flight Facility on the US east coast.
