Polish banks expect to tighten lending criteria - National Bank survey

Polish banks expect to tighten lending criteria on consumer and corporate loans in Q4 and maintain criteria for housing loans, the National Bank of Poland (NBP) said in the quarterly survey of banks' credit committee heads. In corporate loans, banks expect to tighten criteria in Q4 after a slight loosening in Q3. Only select banks expect demand to increase in Q4 after flat demand in Q3. Lending criteria for consumer loans will likely grow tighter again in Q4, in a continuation of the long-standing trend, with demand seen growing in Q4 only by select banks after demand grew in Q3.
