Police escort escaping Czech robber home from Martinique

The police have escorted a 43-year-old fugitive Czech robber from Martinique back to Czechia, police spokeswoman Lenka Sikorova announced online today, adding that the man was previously sentenced to nine years for assisting in an attack on and robbery of a van transferring money in 2013. The crime was committed by a nine-member group in Velke Popovice, west of Prague. They stole over two million crowns from the van that was transferring some 30 million crowns.
