The Polish government's commissioner for strategic energy infrastructure, Piotr Naimski, has announced that Poland will build nuclear power plants with a capacity of 6-9 gigawatts (GW), and that the first reactor would be ready in 2023. President Andrzej Duda and his US counterpart Donald Trump announced in Washington on Wednesday that the US would build a nuclear power plant in Poland. Naimski told private radio broadcaster RMF FM that "under way are Polish-US talks on an intergovernmental agreement, which will make it possible to plan this large venture."
