Poland's' investment ministry has launched its STEP programme that is aimed at encouraging businesses which have never applied for EU funds under the 2014-2020 Smart Growth programme to access the EU money. In a Wednesday statement on the new scheme, the ministry said it will provide professional analysis of projects to increase the number of "new" beneficiaries and improve the quality of the projects. "STEP's primary goal is to familiarise companies with the process of applying for the funds, provide them with reliable information and encourage them to carry out projects," Deputy Investment and Development Minister Paweł Chorąży was quoted as saying in the press release.
