Individuals who purchase electric vehicles will receive a government subsidy of 30 percent of the catalogue price up to PLN 125,000 (EUR 29,097), the daily Rzeczpospolita said. Poland has been one of the few European Union countries not to subsidise the purchase of plug-in electric passenger cars. This will change after Nov. 19 when a formal application process will begin. The newspaper said that the subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles will come from the government's Low-Emission Transport Fund.
