Poland's Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk declared in the Sejm (lower house) on Thursday that Poland was not about to surrender in the battle over changes in EU transport regulations that are not beneficial to Polish companies. "After forcing through protectionist measures in Brussels, it's not Poland that has lost, but transport companies from the EU," Adamczyk said in his response to MPs from the PSL-UED (Polish People's Party-Union of European Democrats), regarding changes in regulations that are unfavourable to Polish transport companies. "We may have lost the battle but not the war, so we are not surrendering. We want to eliminate regulations that are most unfavourable for Polish, as well as European, road transport," Adamczyk added.
